Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
Jer 6:16 This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. (The politically correct way (wisdom) of today is not where you are going to find REST.)
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Conventional wisdom says to strive, survive and stay alive! Some key words in the above verses can help us to understand the wisdom of God. Those words are: ask, walk, and find! Let us think about what these key words of wisdom are about. We know that if we ASK, we will FIND! (According to Matt. 7:7 and Luke 11:9) So the question is, "what will we FIND?" Wisdom is the answer! If we ask God, He will give us wisdom! Remember King Solomon! He asks for wisdom and what happened? (1 Kings 4:29-30 and 2 Chr. 1:11-12).
Most of the lottery winners, it is reported, got what conventional wisdom tells us that we need, but most of them lack wisdom of how to keep it. Soon it is gone. Even the wealthy who horde and build up wealth find it a lacking lifestyle with worry and fear of loosing it attached.
Job 4:20-21 "They are broken in pieces from morning till evening; They perish forever, with no one regarding. Does not their own excellence go away? They die, even without wisdom.
Deut 8:18 "And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant.
When we ASK, we FIND WISDOM. In wisdom there is REST. What we do with wisdom is WALK.! When we Walk in wisdom, we recognize true value! We see the value of the soul of a man! Therefore, we who are wise win souls! Like King Solomon, God will not just bless our soul-winning efforts, but the wisdom that comes from God causes our lives to prosper in many ways!
1 Pet 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1 Pet 1:4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade -- kept in heaven for you,
1 Pet 1:5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. (Who is Salvation - Jesus. How secure is your salvation? It is secured by your faith and by His Grace)
Once you or any person, in faith, have given his soul to Him, He alone possesses it. It is securely in His hands and guarded by His love. It is wisdom that seeks a way for the soul to belong to God.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (Conventional wisdom places no value on such things. God's wisdom gives victory!)
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Pet 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
1 Pet 1:7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
1 Pet 1:8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
1 Pet 1:9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Pet 2:25 For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
God is in control. We need that assurance and He has given it. He has not given us the spirit of Fear, but He has given us the spirit of Power. He has given us the spirit of Love. And He has given us a sound mind.
When we produce fruit for the kingdom. He will produce fruit in us.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
When we are operating in these, we will be loving each other, and wisely winning souls.
