Featured Article - Uganda Report. U G A

They came waving branches; they came in large numbers; they came hungry for the Word of God, and they came expecting God to move through us! The good news is that God chose to do just that! The "Uganda Kingdom Mission 2007" was a great success, and a trip that none of the 23 team members will ever forget! The team leaders Pastor Dorman and Jana Duggan from Hereford, Texas were outstanding! This couple is a great gift to the body of Christ, and those of us who were part of this trip will point to them as great unity builders.
The resulting ministry that took place ranged from excellent and anointed teaching, the prophetic word, and an impartation of wisdom and unity to healing, deliverance and salvation . There were many who received Jesus as Lord and Savior; about 800 recorded professions of faith. There were many who received healings; tumors disappeared, legs were straightened, skin diseases vanished, and blind eyes opened. Many brought the demon-possessed and cast them at our feet. They were set free, and many left in their right minds, rejoicing and praising God. We will never be the same, nor will the people of Uganda.
There were three main issues we are praying about. We ask you to pray with us that the Lord would show us what and how we can address some of these important challenges.
1) Teaching and building unity in pastors and churches is a high priority.
2) Aids and war have created a host of children who are abandoned and orphaned. These children are everywhere, and some orphanages have been established. No one has enough resources to support the children, much less take in more children. The situation is desperate.
3) Clean drinking water is a necessity. People carry drinking water for as much as a mile and a half. You and I would refuse to even bathe in it. They need clean drinking water now! (see article below: Living Water Wells)
It is very hard to look with your eyes and see human suffering and the hard life of multitudes of people and not desire to do something helpful. I want to share a personal story that will help you understand the heart of at least one pastor and what he faces living in Uganda. Pastor Robert Mponye and his wife Esther live in Mityana and were our gracious hosts while we were in Uganda. Pastor Robert has several hundred members in his church, yet they have a rustic wood structure with a tin roof for the church building. They are building an additional structure to house 10 to 12 orphans, besides the ones they have already adopted. Little Grace is one of these. She was found in a latrine atop five other disposed children who did not survive. Grace was rushed to the local hospital and received basic treatment but not given much hope for life. Esther Mponye having heard of this child asked her husband if she could have the baby, if they would release her. Pastor Robert's response was positive. They both have the compassion of Jesus. Esther held and nurtured this critically ill child for weeks enduring rejection from friends. The medication given to the child caused insects in her body to come out. Both of Grace's eyes and some of her internal organs were damaged. However, by the Grace of God one eye has been completely restored with some improvement in the other. There has been much improvement in her body. Grace now has life, hope and a loving family. Praise be to God. We were so privileged to work with people of such character and faithfulness.
I personally want to say, "Thank you, Pastor Robert and Esther Mponye, for all you did to help us build God's kingdom." Pastor Robert assisted me in inviting a number of pastors who Decision Ministries had been in contact with from Kenya, DR Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. Several of these pastors came for many miles.to attend the conference in a surrounding country. The impact of our efforts was international!
We will never be the same! Evangelist Nancy James was one of our team members. She selected a theme song for the trip by "Israel & New Breed" titled "Not Forgotten." In the lyrics is the hammering truth: "I am not forgotten. I am not forgotten. God knows my name." Although there were many we could not minister to, but God knows their names, and He has the hairs of their heads numbered. In closing, let me say that God knows your name, too! Thanks to each one of you who prayed and supported this great work through your giving.

Prophetic Countdown - EU & a God Clause

The Push is On For a "God Clause" in EU Constitution

"[W]e need a European identity in the form of a constitutional treaty and I think it should be connected to Christianity and God, as Christianity has forged Europe in a decisive way."

Maria Mackay/TN (Jan 25th, 2007)

EU flagDays after the new president of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Poettering, said that, despite his personal convictions, he would no longer push for a reference to God in any revised EU constitution, leaders from Catholic and Protestant churches, particularly in Germany, are appealing to German Chancellor Angela Merkel to use Berlin's six-month EU presidency to speak in favor of a reference to God in the EU constitution, Reuters has reported.

"[W]e need a European identity in the form of a constitutional treaty and I think it should be connected to Christianity and God, as Christianity has forged Europe in a decisive way," Merkel said.

Now, according to a report in The Christian Post, it seems Merkel is prepared to resurrect the debate over the inclusion of a reference to God. She told Focus magazine over the weekend, "Europe must continue to consider this issue."

However, one EU ambassador in Brussels is quoted as saying, "There is no chance whatsoever of reopening that debate." It is believed he might be referring to the fact that the 2004 draft was rejected by referendums in the Netherlands and in France, the leading opponent of the "God clause".

Cardinal Karl Lehmann, head of the German Catholic Bishops' Conference, and Munich's Cardinal Friedrich Wetter are stepping up their vocal support. "We don't want a God-less state and a God-less Europe," Wetter said.

This is news that has great prophetic effect on the time-line for the end-time countdown. A stroke of a pen can change it again in one day, so it is not a key factor. However, it does give us a quick peek into the heart and attitude of the command elements of the EU. It is clear that the EU will make the Godless choice at some point, but is it now? This will be interesting to watch as it develops. Jesus is coming soon. His word is true, and His prophets do not lie. We can know the signs of the time, and we should work while we still have day. If you belong to the kingdom of heaven; if you are a child of God, then you have nothing to fear and everything to look forward to. "Jesus is coming" is good news to the believer, but it is frightening to those who are lost. "He who wins souls is wise."

Decision One - Living Water Wells Water Needs

"I have a dream!" Martin Luther King's famous quotation expresses my heart after returning from Uganda, Africa. I have a dream that we can buy equipment to drill wells that would meet needs in Africa. We could raise money to hire someone to drill a well, or we could raise money to buy the drilling rig, and drill many "living water wells." Needless to say, my dream takes money, some technical know-how, and favor with the Ugandan government. I did not say it was a simple dream! In fact, it is a very big dream for this ministry, but we have a very big God! Amen! Would you begin to pray and ask God to help us drill that first well. To provide clean water for the city of Mityana, there needs to be 4 wells drilled, so people would have to carry water no more than one-half mile. Each well would cost around $7,000.00 US dollars and would be about 150 feet deep (about $47.00 a foot). This newsletter goes out to around 700 people in the US. If each one would buy one foot, we would have $32,900, enough to drill all 4 living water wells needed in Mityana. Just imagine, if just half of you would invite a friend to buy a foot , then we could be closer to owning the drilling equipment that can drill wells for as long as the equipment lasts. Each well will serve the community for 15 to 25 years providing healthy, clean water. I have a dream. I am asking you to dream that dream and live that dream with me.

Trips & Tips

I am very excited about the upcoming trip to Central and South America. In Honduras Pastor David Brown will be continuing a crusade for his 15th year in that country. In Bogotã, Columbia I will be leading a pastor's conference and training school with top military officials and personnel. This extended visit to Columbia also involves important meetings with our Central and South American ministry coordination specialist. We are expecting God to do mighty things.
God has given Decision Ministries a mandate to win souls. What is being planned during this trip could produce a mighty harvest of souls. We are working with materials called, "Are You Born-Again?" Pastor Tony Poole of Dunamas School of Ministries in the Philippines developed this powerful soul-winning program. We are now in the process of getting it translated into Spanish. I will be casting this vision for key pastors and bishops in Bogatã, Columbia. I also have the high privilege of training some of their military in this course and building a Christian soldier aspect into their system. If this proves to be successful training in Columbia, other countries may want to adopt this training into their military programs.
The "Are You Born-Again" soul-winning program will be introduced by targeting large cities in each of the Central American countries and the northern countries in South America. This is our initial plan, but we hope to expand to the southern regions of South America and Mexico. This will be accomplished by taking teams of 20 into one of the larger cities. We will then go out in pairs to 10 locations around that city to train as many pastors as possible during the same time frame. We will be impacting a large city by training pastors who then teach the class to their church members. We will also ask those pastors who we have trained to go out as missionaries to the smaller cities in the area and train other pastors. It is an explosive soul-winning program that will bring new life and refreshing growth to the nations. We also have a tracking system developed that will help us keep official records and accountability in the program as it grows. Pray for favor and provision as this work begins to develop. Be assured the enemy would like to kill it in its infancy. Please pray!
