Featured Article - The Gospel is the Power!........

The gospel is not something that we generally think of as powerful, but it has great power! Paul boldly proclaimed, " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek". (Rom 1:16)

The Greek word for power is "dunamis," meaning "miraculous power." We get the word dynamite from this word. The other key word is salvation, "soteria," meaning "rescue or safety (phys. or mor.):--deliver, health, salvation, save, saving." Paul then is saying that the gospel is the miraculous power to rescue you, to bring you to safety, to deliver you from anything that threatens you, to provide health and salvation from disease or sin, to save you to the uttermost for eternity! Wow, that is powerful! Why would we be ashamed of such a wonderful thing as the gospel?

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

I have often said that what we need is more beautiful feet ministries than beautiful seat ministries. I sometimes think that we must be ashamed of the gospel, because we do not as Christians do the work of the evangelist. Why do we not daily desire to win the lost? We have been given the power! We have the gospel! Actually we are the gospel, as we support ministries like Decision Ministries, and as we send by equipping and supplying those who are willing to go or be sent. Through our support and prayers we are advancing the kingdom of God! It is a powerful gospel, and it is good news! What gospel do we bring? The gospel of peace and glad tidings of good things! Good news of salvation, healing, deliverance, and a blessed life in Christ!

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power...

My friends, a gospel that is only words will not help an African child who is hungry and has no parents. A gospel that comes only with words cannot bring much comfort to a woman in Columbia who has no husband and is very sick. No, they need a gospel that has power to bring supernatural change to their lives, and so do we! We all need a gospel that compels us to love other people and value them enough to give then fresh water, clothing and food as they need it. We have a gospel that speaks louder than words only. We have a gospel that speaks in deeds of power both natural goodness of Christian giving and the supernatural power of God's gifts, signs, and wonders. What a great and powerful gospel we have the privilege to proclaim and send out to a world that needs to hear this good news of the kingdom. Decision Ministries does alot of different ministries, but the gospel will always be at the heart of all that is done. The gospel is very powerful, and it has been entrusted to those who truly believe it.

Prophetic Countdown - Religous War & Spiritual Leadership....

The USA is approaching an important election, and much action and debate will take place before the final outcome of the vote. The USA and other friendly nations are presently fighting a holy war, regardless of whether we want to acknowledge it or not. If you do not live in the USA, then you should be praying for this country. What is done here will have an affect on your world, as well. My deepest concern is that we use the vote, the voice, and the prayers we have to bring to office godly men and women, both in the USA and in every free country. It is to this purpose that I have created a web page devoted to helping you locate sources of information to keep you abreast of the developing issues and candidates. Please be advised, I have made available both sides and links to a number of sites leaning both to the right and to the left. Fair and balanced! Just one thing more ---

God is still very much in control! Glory!

Decision One - Touching the World!.....

I have so much to tell you this month that I would make this newsletter 14 pages long, so I will reframe form going ballistic on you. I am super excited about the things that are coming together for our upcoming trip back to Bogota, Columbia. This is truly a global effort and it has the potential of making a profound impact on the entire Northern hemisphere!

Allow me to give you just a little history as to how these things have developed. Irene and I made a trip to the Philippines in October, 2006, and I had asked the Lord to show me how and in what capacity Decision Ministries was to be of assistance to Revival Fire Ministries and Dunamis School. The Lord first said that we were to link the two ministries together in a special way. Then, over the time that we were there, God began to open a vision of what we were doing and how we were to bring it to Central America (I thought). Later it became clear that what God had given Tony Poole for the Philippines and Asia, He was now asking me to champion in Latin America. Just prior to this trip to the Philippines, I had began corresponding with a ministry out of Bogota, Columbia that had been the liaizon for Rick Warren and Purpose Driven Church throughout much of South and Central America. Little did I know of the importance of this contact. God began to pour revelation and contacts into my life that could not have happened except by God's hand. There was a series of trips to the Philippines, then to Uganda, Africa and Honduras, Central America, and finally to Bogota, Columbia in South America. Each of these trips developed relationships with different ministries and individuals that were God-ordained. Each of these trips provided more understanding and resources to accomplish the vision God was opening up to me. I did not know what to say, "Wow God!" or "Wooh God!" I simply was in awe by it all. In the Philippines I learned and used this wonderfully simple gospel presentation Tony had received from God. In Uganda I decided to give it a field test. I was winning people every day! In Honduras I had the exact same results. Honduras also provided several relational links that will help in this ministry in the days to come. In Bogota, Columbia we introduced the concept and were well received by pastors and leaders from all over that great city. We are setting up the first training session for those pastors and leaders in late September or early October. I am very excited to begin this first step of a great adventure with pastor Tony Poole coming from the Philippines to teach the first sessions in person. On July 7th a training video will be produced by pastor Tony, and we have a gifted man by the name of Stanley Black (Honduras connection) who is going to put Spanish words into Tony's mouth. The resulting English/Spanish DVD will be used in training "gospel gorillas" throughout the Northern hemisphere. All of these things are wonderful! Please be praying that God will protect and provide for this great mission and establish Bogota as the birth place for a major move of God in bringing salvation to hundreds of thousands of people.

Please pray about helping us. There are many things to do, and much provision is needed. All ministry requires money to make it move. This is a pure beautiful feet ministry and great soil in which to plant a seed.
