Featured Article - Trip to the Philippines!

The team to go to the Philippines is coming together, but we can accomodate a few more. You need to let us know soon, if you want to go on this trip. If for some reason you can not go you can send! just use your credit card and note "Philippines Trip" or you can mail a check directly to the ministry, Just click on the "Partner with us" Link at www.decision1.org.

I recently spent some time with Tony Poole, and we have some awesome things in store for this trip. At this moment I do not have the exact time-frame for the trip. We will be leaving the last week of September or the first week in October. The trip will be 14 days, cost for airfair, accomidations and two meals a day under $2,000 per person. We have a great place to stay and a number of churches and schools that we will be working with and ministering to. Please notice our new addition to the "Plan A Trip" page on our website; it should be up soon (pending flight information and exact departure dates & times.) On that page there will be full trip details, a registration form, and a place where you can tell us what ministry areas you want to participate in. Most of the churches will number in the hundreds; some are very large. There is much to do in the streets, house-to-house, in the churches, and in the larger venues we have planned. This is truely a trip you will never forget! The Philippino people are wonderful and warm, eager to learn, and they speak English, so everyone can minister at ground level without a language barrier.

We have several training meetings before the trip (or correspondance training), so we will know each other, and we will all be on the same page, equipped and ready to minister the Good News! We will provide you with travel tips and a checklist, so you will know what to take and what you will need to know. Finally, we will take one or two days during the trip for rest and fun, so you can enjoy the experience of the Islands. Pack your swimming suit! Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world are in the Philippines, and we have a swimming pool at the location where we will be staying. See photos at the website http://www.decision1.org//

Most importantly, souls will be saved, people set free, healing and restoration for many. You can be there and share in the victories for Christ. Jesus said, "Go and make disciples!" We are going to win the lost, but it is important that we partner with churches who can disciple these new converts in the ways of God. Many of them will become missionaries to other countries. The Philippinos are the most sought -after workforce in the world. Many will go out to other countries in the 10-40 window and carry the Good News we will be sharing with them. This is the reason for choosing the Philippines as our target mission field as a back door missionary force to reach parts of the world we Americans can not easily access.

Please pray about joining us on this very important mission.

If you want to go on this (or another trip), take that first big step of faith and go to your local courthouse. Pick up a passport application, fill it out and get things underway. You must have a passport, and they take a little extra time to get these days. Passports are good for ten years! The number one reason most people cannot go is that their papers are not in order! Do not be left behind!

Prophetic Countdown - The signs of our Times

Massachusetts's parents are enraged. Since homosexual marriage is legal there now, the Left are wasting no time to indoctrinate our children, as young as the first and second grades, on the homosexual "family" and "union!" The book King and King is the introduction to this full-blown agenda, that very young children in the government public schools are having read to them. It is the wedding of two princes. AND parents cannot have their children opt out of it either! THIS is what all parents have waiting for them once this perverted homosexual agenda movement is established in other states, and make no mistake about it; it is just a matter of time before it is! GEORGE CARLIN
Isn't it amazing that George Carlin - gross and mouthy comedian of the
70's and 80's - could write something eloquent...and appropriate but he did!

George has made a change and so can others! Pray for our nation!

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but
shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more,
but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees
but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more
problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too
little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired,
read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too
much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to
life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but
have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer
space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the
atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more,
but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more
computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but
we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small
character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of
two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are
days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night
stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to
quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and
nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to
you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to
just hit delete...

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the
moments that take our breath away.

These are exciting times we live in! Jesus is pouring out an abundance of His Spirit even now, and you can be a recipient of it. Simply ask for it!
2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Decision One

In today's world there are many things available to us that will occupy our time and resources, but decision one is (or should be) the Kingdom of God! Are you investing in God's Kingdom?
The Bible says that it is the only investment that is imperishable! Everything else will, like sand running through your fingers, vanish shortly. Have you considered your investments lately?

1 Pet 1:7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

1 Cor 9:25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

Prov 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.

Trips & Tips

*After you have packed, fill the empty spaces with individually wrapped hard candy that you like!
You'll enjoy having something to munch on, to freshen your breath with, and to give as a gift to the children and even adults you encounter along the way. (Watch you bag weight!)
*Put anything that could spill out (if broken or punctured) in a plastic ziplock (ie. toothpaste, shaving cream, perfume, etc.)
*Pack one outfit to go in your carry-on bag. Airlines still misplace things! I t could be a day or two before they get it to you.

Concerning money to go - Consider this testimony!
I can't remember if I emailed you or not to thank you for lifting my
requests in prayer. The Lord heard our prayers and answered Yes that Jacona
and I can go on this mission trip! I am so excited. It has been an extremely
emotional weekend watching the Lord work, especially during our morning
worship on Sunday. There was such a sweet spirit from the very beginning.
And then to have God move people, even during the service, to come over,
look me in the eyes, and hand me a gift to help make this trip a reality was
so touching. All Jacona and I could do was go to the altar, kneel, cry, and
just thank and praise our Lord!

As it turns out, there will be 8 (maybe 9) from our church going to
introduce people to Jesus. We leave on May 29. Please continue to lift this
trip in prayer. Pray that many people will not only hear about Jesus, but
will also turn from sin and accept Him as Savior.
