Featured Article - What is this world coming to?

"What is this world coming to?"

Recently I heard a woman use this old adage, and it began to stir in my spirit. I thought of how life constantly presses in with one seemingly hopeless question after another. The war, the world, the economy,  Aids, and bird flu. Where does it all end? "What is this world coming to?" is actually a good question!  Well, the planet earth is not coming to an end. We know by the word of God that this is a world without end (Isa 9:7, 45:17, Eph. 3:21, Luke 1:33)!

Let me go back to, "What is the world coming to?" Actually, it is coming to a critical point known as the end times! As I mentioned, the earth will not cease to exist. That does not mean that we will always be here! Oh! Global warming? No, but close, it is going to heat up for sure!

The book of Daniel tells us what the world is coming to! Daniel was an awesome prophet that has a lot for us to learn about what lies ahead in this world we live in. Daniel has much to say about his visions concerning the Great Tribulation, the resurrection of the Old Testament saints, sealing prophecies until the end times, and the abomination of desolation. All of these things are but a mere warm-up to what this man unfolds beginning in chapter 12. Chapter 12 starts with references to Daniel's people, the Jews, and to the archangel, Michael, the historic protector of the Jewish people and the nation of Israel.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Michael's job is unfortunately about to intensify! The end-time reality for the Jew, according to prophecy, will become even more critical in the days that are ahead of us. The prophecy paints a very dark day in which things will begin to deteriorate into something worse than anything anyone has ever witnessed in the history of the world. We think of having a bad day at work as cohorts slam everything you do in your face, or close friends betray you. All of our challenges in these United States, or any other country in the world, are nothing to compare with what is coming for these people known as Jews. Jeremiah 30:7 says, "Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it." Our worst day will pale in comparison to what these people will have to endure. In Matthews 24:21 Jesus confirms Jeremiah's prophecy when he said, "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, not ever shall be."

Michael was there in Daniel 12:1, and Michael, the archangel, is there in Revelation 12:7-8, as well. Why is that a big deal? Michael is the protector of the Jews. If he was not there, all of them would be destroyed. During the time of Jacob's trouble, the Jewish nation will need Michael, because Daniel tells us that after 42 months of what seems to be a wonderful world, all hell will break out.  Umm! Another one of those expressions people use!  Daniel 9:27 tells of this mid-point turn-around when the treaty will be broken. This marks the time of great persecution for the Jews (Ezekiel 38:11). Revelation 12:13 exposes the assignment of the enemy to obliterate the Jewish people from the earth. It also reveals the reason for Michael's presence and his ability to stand up when the time is done.

If you know me at all, then you know that I am always telling folks how this world is breaking down morally and spiritually. I often proclaim that the multitude of signs pointing to the fact that we are living in the last days are very easy to see, even for people who are not Christians. The good news is that there is a way for us to be at a banquet, the marriage supper of the lamb, while this is all going on. Revelations 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Revelations 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Revelations 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Oh, my friend, if you are not born again, you will not be at this wonderful event. Jesus said, "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again' (John 3:7). What he said just before that is so important that it holds every human being's eternal future in these few verses.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

The power of the resurrection is in these verses. It is for the Jew and the Gentile. It is for everyone who will believe. First, we must be born again! Then, we must be telling others of this wonderful good news we have discovered. Finally, we must pray for the Jewish people. This prophecy is true, and these things will come to pass. Honestly, that is what this world is coming to!

We are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. My friend, true peace will only come to Jerusalem after Michael has finished his job, and the prince of peace returns to this earth, once and for all. Our prayers are for world peace, but when we pray for the peace of Jerusalem we are praying for the return of Christ! That is where the world is headed! Shalom!

Prophetic Countdown - All the pieces fit..........

The training sessions and conference in Bogotá, Columbia will be November 28th - December 1st.

Please continue to be praying and send a special gift, if you can. We are in need of financial support for this ministry effort to begin properly. What needs to be established at the onset of this ministry outreach is listed below:

1) Funding Latin American outreach office. The office requires about $4,000 USD a month to maintain. This office will service all of Central and South America, so they will have an incredible territory to cover. This ministry office needs a 15-passenger van. Our efforts and success in this part of the world depends upon the successful funding of this ministry office.

2) Printing ministry materials and DVDs necessary to conduct this ministry. The issue is the number of each item that needs to be printed. The pieces are only 3 to 6 cents each, but we need a hundred thousand to a million of each one of them!  Printing costs are all up front; this places heavy costs right up front in the project. Bogota, Columbia alone has a population of about 6 million. If we print one million, there will still be 5 million people in that city alone who will not have the opportunity we want them to have. If we can train the pastors, they can train their people how to win souls. Then, we will have the army of soul winners we need to go after the other 5 million people who live in there. Please help us by sending your best gift today! The harvest is white! The gospel is free, but ministry supplies are not, so we need your help and your prayers.

3) Renting conference rooms, feeding the pastors, assisting with hotel and airfare for the four trainers. Pastor Tony Poole from Manila, Philippines and Pastor Dorman Duggan of Hereford, Texas will be teaching and sharing at the conference. Stan Folsom and Fred Hughes of Dumas, Texas will both be involved. This team of four are mighty in God's hand, but we need your prayer covering. The word of God says:

Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Mark 9:41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

I believe that God will greatly reward those who support winning souls. When you give, you become a vital part. You become the sender.

Rom 10:13-15 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

God will reward those who send the glad tidings of good things. J E S U S is his name! Jesus alone can make all the pieces fit. The good news is that you are one of the pieces. You fit into God's master plan, perhaps helping this ministry, perhaps another ministry, but you fit in the picture somewhere! God wants to help you find the place where you fit. Just ask him!  We desire your partnership as we go to teach people how to advance the kingdom of God!

This is what God thinks. This is what is on God's mind. This is His focus concerning you!

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
